Abstract

|
|
Tension-type headache (TTH) is a common primary headache. Due to high prevalence of TTH, there is a social impact. TTH should be well distinguished from mild migraine and secondary headache. The subtype is classified as infrequent, frequent and chronic by the frequency. Simple analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are helpful in the majority. Amitriptyline is the drug of choice in preventive therapy. We will review the symptom, diagnosis and reatment of TTH.
